Letter written at Albany, N.Y. to Elisha A. Adams, Elizabethtown, N.Y. "Please to inform me if the Town of North Elba has been organized by the election of officers and is now considered a town of Essex county - I don't know whether Mr. Johnson ever wrote to the clerk of the supervisors that the act was not legally drawn. It has not been printed in the session laws."
